Love Wins - Misty Rae
(M. Rae) (M. Rae and Kenny Royster) Copyright 2007

This ain’t no yellow-brick road you been walking on
And the fighting side of you is a little ragged and worn
Hold on
I know you think what you been dreaming of
Ain’t no way it’s gonna happen
But you can’t see what’s been going down
Underneath your circumstances
So hold on

Love wins
Even when everything seems hopeless
Love wins
You gotta walk by faith and not by sight
Trusting everything is gonna be alright
Sometimes you gotta die just to rise again
But love wins

Now I have not been blind to the war painted on your face
So let me assure you, you have not labored in vein
Just hold on
‘Cause a new day is coming and your heart will not stay broken
And you’ll be in my hands and we’ll dance again
But you gotta hold on

If you should start to question how strong love can be
You just remember me
Remember the crown of scorn, the cross of shame, my dying breath
And the empty grave
Love wins
