I’ve been through hell and back
And I’ve got the scars to prove it
I guess you could never know
Unless you been through it

Sometimes it feels like
I’m running out of prayers
But deep down I know
That God is everywhere

My body may be weak
But my spirit still is strong
Heaven will have to wait
‘Cause I’m right where I belong

It’s not my time to go
I’ve been right here before
Evil won the battle
But it hasn’t won the war
Holding on with both hands
With the will of a fighter
Never gonna give up
‘Cause I’m a survivor

Watched it tearing at my family
And take a toll on all my friends
I wish that I could tell them
That it won’t be back again

Hack Andrews grew up on a llama ranch in the small mountain town of Carbondale, CO. He began studying bluegrass guitar and classical piano at age seven and classical guitar at 11. Although his family moved to La Veta, CO (pop. 800) his junior year of high school, Hacks’s parents continued to make the seven-hour round trip to Denver twice a month so Hack could study with world-renowned guitar virtuoso Ricardo Iznaola. By the time Hack graduated high school he had decided that manual labor was not really his thing, and, after four years and a BM degree in Classical Guitar performance from the University of Colorado at Boulder, formed the folk-rock band, Acoustic Radio. After touring with Acoustic Radio for several years, Hack left the band, dropped out of CU’s Master of Music program and moved to Nashville, TN in 2006 to develop his songwriting.

Hack has won several major competitions, including the National Foundation For Advancement in the Arts (NFAA), two full scholarships to attend the Aspen Music School, The Music Teacher’s National Assocaition (MTNA) competition (state and regional), the Stars of Tomorrow Talent show and many others. He is currently in the studio working on his newest album to be released in November, 2007, with spring 2008 tour dates to follow, so please check back!!!
